2018, well this was one epic ride.

This was the year I gave to God, He is my supreme being, and I told Him that we were going to work on our relationship. Trust me I know this sounds weird but it gave me a certain balance. My perception of certain things changed, I became more loving, compassionate and understanding. What am trying to say is that I started growing. In order to achieve this you need to make it intentional and I did. It paid off. And no matter what happened we talked about it. Anyway this was just one of the major highlights of my year.

2018 has been one rollercoaster and I am saying this for all of us. My year was everything that can happen to a young adult and then some. I have loved and lost. I have felt pain from losing a loved one unexpectedly to losing stuff. Yes I have bought everything and everything has perished more times than you can imagine. I thank God for everything because I could replace the stuff, but I could not replace him, and that’s how life should be, it has to end at some point. We are just pilgrims on a journey. I have had times where my parents had to hold my hand and teach me how to walk on my feet, not literally but hypothetically. I really hope that God keeps all of our parents or guardians some of us owe them too much.

I have cried so many times I remember not being able to breath and I had to get away for a while so I could heal from the scars and bruises I did not even know I had. I have become strangers with people who I thought would be in my life for a lifetime but that’s how things work. We grow and sometimes outgrow some friends, some situations at some point but it’s all worth it in the long run.

I have felt joy and happiness in its uttermost. I have met amazing people, smashed my goals. I have joined societies and movements. I have celebrated my friends’ achievements, my parents, my family’s growth and my own achievements. I have attended events and felt nature at its finest. I have made friends who I hope are going to last a lifetime and my reading habit is just off the charts. What started out as a disguise to get out of my own head and thoughts is a part of who I am. I wonder how I survived all that long without a good read.

We have all experienced the bumps and bruises of this year and guess what? We are still here still going on stronger than ever .I mean this calls for a celebration. All the experience we have and intelligence we have acquired will surely pay off in its own time. I tend to believe that we deserve the best that this world can offer but you have to do the work for it.

Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” In your 2019 resolutions remember to let your supreme being, to me that is God, be your first priority and watch things work out exactly in your favor and how He wants them to play out. Keep running to Him and going for what you want .Do things that are right by Him and by you.

Thank you for your support in 2018.We appreciate you and celebrate you. You are important to us.

Stay safe and take care.
