It is always said that people have already written everything that can possibly be said. That was the main barrier I faced, like what would I write, and would people want to read it in the first place.
I used to write monthly on my blog but for some reason that was probably valid at the time, I stopped. Mainly due to the fear of being judged for my opinion.
I eventually stopped and hid under a lot of stuff including the 'writer's block' line, but I never truly stopped writing.
I have a gift from my " Tàtä " that has the words "Keep writing" all over the cover and I never stopped writing I just stopped sharing my writings publicly. In doing so I robbed myself of the chance to get better and get feedback from my readers. I hid a part of myself that I wore on my sleeve.
My advice is never to stop writing. In as much as everything is written, it is. not written as you would write it. How you would describe the little details and carefully craft each and every word of your story is different from how someone else would describe it. We are all the same but uniquely different and that is your advantage.
The benefit is that you will learn how to write better each and every day.
